Having worked with software product development companies, Ash brings with him a rich experience and knowledge of software development processes and domain in the areas of Knowledge based Enterprises, Media Independent Publishing, e-Learning, Network Enterprise, MIS, Mobile, and Embedded solutions. His experience in handling large or small projects has been garnered at companies like Intel, Siemens, General Signal, RLI, Quark, Adobe and S-cube where he successfully generated mandates for a total of 27 years of work experience.
As the founding partner of Software Square Systems (S-cube), India Ash brought the company to the fore by providing a unique spectrum of a fully-integrated IT consulting, application portfolio management, application development for products at the enterprise level. He applied his experience and skill in transitioning small & big IT projects from one geo to another for rapid and cost effective solutions. This provided opportunities to client companies to dwell in new areas of work. Key achievement involved in undertaking complete transitioning of work/process for software Gaming Company based out of UK/Canada to its newly established office in India.
During three years of his work at Adobe India as Director of Engineering Ash had complete engineering responsibility for the Creative Suite extension team based out of Noida, India developing and delivering robust products like Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, VersionCue, Golive. The contribution made by the engineering efforts and processes put forth in Noida, India resulted in the complete ownership of one of the 200+ million dollars Creative Suite Product AI by the India team. This was the largest single product development ever moved to India in the history of Adobe.
As Vice President Engineering at Quark Media House, India Ash engineered the release of world class publishing software Quark Xpress 6.0 form its office in India. Overseeing a team size of 300 plus engineers from development to release engineering, Ash drove company’s growth by indulging in best management practices and driving team towards operational excellence through innovation and technology driven automation initiatives. Ash’s approach to early adoption of Workflow and Reuse concepts in software projects resulted in the award winning Quark Xpress 6.0 release from India for millions of users world-wide.
Ash helped Wisconsin based e-Learning company Renaissance Learning Inc by setting up its subsidiary in India. During this time the company went from being a start-up to a USD $100 million company by doing its IPO in the USA. In five years time Ash as Managing Director of its India operations handled and provided the parent company the India talent in a cost effective manner to launch several of its e-learning products to the schools in USA, UK and Australia. The India operation expertise was used both for product & content development with an employee base peaking to 100 plus employees.
Ash has also spent close to 15 years in the USA where he not only got his MSEE from VA Tech but also gained experience working for companies like Intel, Siemens & General Signal. In the software development domain Ash specializes in strategic direction & mission setting for the delivery engine, people & resource planning, organization planning, developing and driving customer satisfaction and quality.
