Tim Kinslow is Partner and Chief Technology Officer of Nimbleware Consulting, a business dedicated to world class software management consulting and leadership.

Tim has almost 30 years of experience in a variety of senior and executive engineering leadership roles in computer software and hardware companies.

He specializes in leading large, complex, and geographically diverse product development teams in order to engineer and deliver world class, best of breed, products.

At McAfee, as Senior VP of Consumer Engineering, Tim drove change in organization, process, and innovative thought, to engineer the award winning products of McAfee Virus Scan Plus 2009, Internet Security 2009, and Total Protection 2009. He created a new partner specific custom engineering group targeted at winning top partner and OEM accounts. He stabilized and up-leveled the organization, increased quality, lowered customer support calls, modernized engineering practices through numerous technology, product, and process initiatives while retaining flexibility, innovation, and throughput.

During his 10 years at Adobe, 7 as VP Engineering, Tim led up to a 450 person engineering team across 4 major geographies (Seattle, San Jose, Hamburg Germany, Noida India) to build world class and award winning Creative Professional desktop and server software products. He helped drive business growth through technical innovation and operational excellence. Tim drove change in organization, process, and thought, to engineer the "Creative Suite" products, including Creative Suite Standard/Premium, InDesign, InCopy, InDesign Server, Illustrator, GoLive, and multiple common suite technologies (Bridge and VersionCue). The resulting Suites grew Adobe's Creative Professional products revenues from $700M to over $1.3B. Tim also led a diverse product engineering portfolio from technical publishing (FrameMaker), to deployed publishing workflow servers (FrameMaker Server, InScope, and Adobe Graphics Server), to web hosted workgroup products (Adobe Studio and createpdf.com).

Prior to Adobe, Tim spent 17+ years at Amdahl leading hardware and software engineering groups, and in business development, producing large mainframe computers and DASD products. Tim led the engineering and quality assurance teams responsible for the Amdahl side of the Amdahl/Fujitsu DASD product partnership. In New Business Development, Tim developed multiple new businesses from conception totaling over $200 million in new revenue.
