Quality Engineering
Nimbleware Consulting’s “Customer First” motto is ingrained in everything we do. Quality is paramount and quality processes permeate all phases of our engineering process. QE works closely with Development at every engineering step to ensure a testable product resulting in defects being found earlier in the process and less defects in the resulting product.
We strive to ensure that our product design services are always of the highest quality, covering every aspect of the product development process. It incorporates meticulous and diligent checks and balances to ensure that projects are always completed on time, with defect goals according to definition, and no cost overruns. Some of the techniques we adopt in pursuing the quality goals are:
Metrics Systems
A metrics based standard system that is used at advanced levels for effective project management. The system is applied at granular levels and the resultant metrics are analyzed for decision support on an ongoing basis.
Customization of Processes
To provide timely and quality solutions in spite of the varying nature, size and complexity of clients' needs. We can adapt to most any client based processes, while infusing our own rigorous standards. This is not to say that “process” is paramount. The objective is the correct “just enough” process for the business and engineering goals at hand.
Regular Peer Reviews
To control upstream processes and ensure qualitative end products, peer reviews are instrumental in this effort. Code, architecture, programmatical testing, and ad-hoc testing plan and function reviews are held at appropriate intervals. The goal is to find as many defects early on in the engineering process as possible, thus reducing costly rework late in the cycle. The end result serves to decrease engineering cost post ship, decrease customer support calls, and increase overall customer satisfaction
Statistical Process Control (SPC) Methods
To monitor and track verification and validation of activities.
Emphasis on Prevention rather than Cure
Effective defect prevention techniques to eliminate commonly recurring defects/problems.
Orthogonal Defect Classification (ODC)
To determine adequacy of system test cases.
